Job summary

Seattle Humane in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Foster Coordinator to place eligible animals into foster homes and oversee their care. The role blends administrative tasks with hands-on animal care across cats, dogs, and small animals, and supports the SPOT program with the public.

Qualifications

• Active RVMC license in WA or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year shelter or related animal-handling experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel and PetPoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as case manager for pets in foster.
• Coordinate veterinary appointments and administer medications as needed.
• Schedule surgeries and other appointments for foster pets.
• Identify suitable foster homes for requested animals.
• Respond to inquiries about SPOT placement from the public.
• Maintain accurate medical and behavioral records in the database.
• Provide training and guidance to foster volunteers.
• Triages emergencies and communicates with other teams as needed.
