Charles River Laboratories is seeking an Animal Care Technician to perform daily husbandry duties with a focus on GLP-compliant data recording. Responsibilities include cleaning animal rooms, changing cages, monitoring water and feed, and maintaining accurate records in electronic databases.

The role requires handling and care of laboratory animals, adherence to protocols, and routine data entry. Education is a high school diploma or GED, with ALAT/LAT/LATG preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Animal handling in a veterinary or commercial/industry setting preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: ALAT, LAT, or LATG preferred.
• Must be able to perform accurate data record keeping in compliance with GLP guidelines and meet core competencies of an Animal Care Technician I.

Responsabilités

• Change room filters and clean behind vents.
• Clean laboratory animal rooms and housing per schedule; includes sweeping, mopping, cage pan changes, waste removal, bottle and feeder washing, sanitizing equipment.
