Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate animal health and condition daily; report abnormalities to veterinary staff; monitor and document cage environments and animal management practices.
• Handle conventional and genetically engineered animal models, perform routine euthanasia following AVMA guidelines.
• Maintain animal rooms and facility cleanliness, change cages following aseptic and conventional techniques, and provide basic husbandry care.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and bending.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Department: Veterinary Service

Employee Status: Regular, FTE 1, 40 hours/week

Expected starting pay range: $17.86 - $21.49 per hour.
