LifeLine Animal Project in Chamblee, GA is seeking a Client Services Coordinator to be the first contact for people bringing found animals to the shelter. The role blends compassionate customer service with strong administrative skills to ensure smooth intake and accurate records.

Responsibilities

• This role serves as the first point of contact for individuals bringing found animals to the shelter.
• Perform all administrative tasks related to the intake of found pets, including scanning for microchips, taking clear photographs, and maintaining records in the shelter software.
• Ask thoughtful questions to gather information from finders to aid reunification or placement.
• Locate contact information for owners when animals arrive with IDs and complete microchip tracing.
• Educate the public on lifesaving programs such as Friendly Finder and Take 48.
• Post Found Pet listings on social media and search lost/found listings for matches.
• Accompany owners during shelter visits to locate their lost pets.
• Handle bites and quarantine cases with care and proper documentation.
• Ensure information from fosters is entered into shelter software.
• Provide information to visitors about shelter services and operations.
• Notify kennel or veterinary staff if any animal shows signs of illness or distress.
