Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) in Madison, NJ seeks an Animal Care Lead to supervise the animal care team, uphold SOPs, and ensure the welfare of all animals across kennels and cattery areas. You will also coach staff, coordinate shifts, and maintain detailed records in PetPoint.

The role requires Fear Free certification, strong leadership, and exceptional communication. The position offers full-time benefits, including health coverage, with daily on-site presence at the campus.

Formación

Fear Free Certified required.
Proven leadership among the animal care team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Compassion for animals and humane mission.

Responsabilidades

Maintain high standard of animal care and welfare, overseeing feedings, medications, clean water, bedding, enrichment.
Monitor animals in kennels and cattery areas; ensure cleaning per best practices and SOPs.
Lead opening/closing shifts, assign tasks, and coach new staff/volunteers.
Ensure cleanliness of public areas and respond to staff/volunteer questions when managers aren’t on site.
Update animal records in PetPoint and report concerns immediately.
