Job summary

Anne Arundel County Animal Services is seeking a full-time Adoptions & Events Coordinator (Management Aide) to plan and coordinate the adoptions program, market animals, and lead events within the Department of Animal Services.

The role includes staff training, social media administration, counseling adopters, and providing administrative support, reports, and materials to improve outreach and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2+ years administrative experience in an animal shelter preferred.
• Ability to plan events and coordinate adoption activities.
• Experience with social media management and marketing.
• Strong data entry and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the adoptions program and lead events.
• Market animals and provide non-judgmental counseling to adopters.
• Administer department's social media presence and community outreach.
• Prepare documents, reports, logs, SOPs, and training materials.
• Support boards, committees, applicants, and other agencies.
• Track client population status and maintain accurate records.
