Qualifications

• Completion of an associate degree and two or more years of administrative experience supporting an animal shelter.
• This is a Safety Sensitive position with CDS and Alcohol testing.
• Background investigation is required; longevity pay is available based on years of service.
• Ability to work weeknights, weekends, holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the adoptions program by preparing/assisting with documentation, training staff and volunteers, and marketing animals.
• Plan and coordinate the department's special events and attendance to events to engage the community and raise awareness.
• Perform administrative duties essential for the efficient operation of the Department, including reports, SOPs, and records.
• Provide administrative support to boards, committees, applicants, and other agencies; respond to public inquiries and maintain records.
• Manage the department’s social media to enhance community engagement and promote initiatives.
