Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Alexandria, VA. The selected physician will supervise CRNAs, perform own blocks, and provide patient-focused anesthesia care across a 9-room operating suite.

Requirements include board certification and ACLS/BLS/PALS, with Virginia licensure or eligibility (IMLC). Flexibility for day shifts and a ASAP start is preferred; travel and malpractice arrangements are handled by AMN.

Qualifications

• Board-certified anesthesiologist with active USLicense preferred or eligible
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Virginia licensed or eligible (IMLC)

Responsibilities

• supervise CRNAs and perform own blocks
• work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
• manage anesthesia care for Op Room cases in a 9-room facility

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

• Call & Requirements: Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week
• Supervision vs Independent: Supervising CRNAs and doing own blocks
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Certifications required: Board Certification, ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Number of Operating Rooms: 9
• License Required or accepting IMLC: Virginia licensed
