Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an experienced Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Alexandria, VA. The role involves supervising CRNAs and delivering patient care across 9 operating rooms, with a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule starting ASAP.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in Anesthesiology, with ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials and Virginia licensure. Epic EMR is used for documentation; lodging and travel are coordinated by AMN.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise CRNAs and manage anesthesia blocks.
• Eligibility to perform anesthesia under supervision/independence per facility policy.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR documentation and perioperative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for 9 ORs in a locum setting.
• Supervise CRNAs and oversee block performance.
• Maintain credentialing requirements (BC, ACLS, BLS, PALS) and Virginia license.
