Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in the United States is seeking an Anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia care, supervise trainees, and ensure patient safety across perioperative stages. The position may be eligible for CBOP and the EDRP program.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible under VA policy.
• MD/DO from a school approved by VA for the year of completion.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
• Residency training approved by VA and board eligibility or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care individually or to supervise residents and CRNAs.
• Operate within a schedule of 7:30am-4:00pm and manage perioperative care.
• Participate in academic training and possible teaching duties.
• Adhere to VA qualification standards and supervise patient care activities.

Skills

Proficiency in English

Board eligible or board certified

Education

MD/DO degree (Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine)

Current full and unrestricted medical license

Residency training in approved core specialty
