Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Oregon seeks a full-time Anesthesia Technician to join the surgical team and support anesthesia providers with equipment setup, monitoring, and supplies for each case.

Candidates should have BLS and 2 years of OR experience or an anesthesia tech degree. Five days per week, Monday–Friday, with shifts 6:30a0a.m.–3:00p.m., 11:00.m.–7:30p.m., or 3:00.m.–11:30p.m.; shifts rotate about every three months.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.
• 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an Anesthesia Technician. Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and setup anesthesia equipment and supplies for each surgical case.
• Connect monitoring lines, prepare infusion sets, and operate common physiological monitors.
• Assist with prepping and opening supplies before surgery when needed.
• Provide limited patient care as required by supervising perioperative nurses.
