Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. You will support anesthesia providers by preparing and setting up equipment and supplies for each case, connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating common physiological monitors.

The role may provide limited patient care as needed before surgery.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each surgical case
• Connect monitoring lines and prepare infusion sets
• Operate common physiological monitors
• Assist with prepping and opening supplies before surgery
