Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists across multiple operating suites and locations, including Marquam Hill and South Waterfront. The ideal candidate will have an accredited health-related degree or certification, BLS, and experience with anesthesia tools; on-site

Qualifications

  • BLS certificate within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice.
  • Associates degree or higher in a health-related field with Anatomy/Physiology/Chemistry coursework.
  • Completed 2 years of college-level coursework in anatomy, physiology and chemistry or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Assist anesthesia provider with induction, intubation, line placements, and intra-operative procedures.
  • Maintain and stock anesthesia instruments and supplies for operating rooms.
  • Set up anesthesia equipment and monitor devices prior to surgery.
  • Provide stat laboratory functions and support blood product handling as needed.
