Job summary

Houston Methodist Hospital seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers and the interprofessional health care team across OR, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and other areas. The role involves assisting with anesthesia procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and ASATT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hospital experience if not ASATT certified; no experience if ASATT certified.

Responsibilities

• Performs anesthesia support activities in all monitoring and anesthesia locations, including ORs, Cath Lab, and ICUs.
• Performs complete operating/procedure room patient monitoring and anesthesia equipment setup.
• Sets up, calibrates, and checks the performance of all monitoring and anesthesia equipment before connecting to the patient.
