Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Sr. Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers across ORs, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and ICU units. The role requires independent work, complex equipment setup, troubleshooting, and patient monitoring initiation as needed.

The position also involves mentoring Anesthesia Technicians, ensuring supplies and locations are ready, and contributing to safe, high-quality patient care across perioperative settings.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Anesthesia Technology with certification or health-related field equivalence.
• Three paths: 2 years of Anesthesia Tech with ASATT certification OR 3 years with health-related Associate's degree OR 5 years experience with no degree/certification.
• Licenses/certifications include BLS and Cer.A.T. (ASATT) as required.

Responsibilities

• Supports anesthesia providers and interprofessional team.
• Independently performs anesthesia support in ORs, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and ICUs.
• Mentors other Anesthesia Technicians and trains staff.
• Maintains readiness of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
