Job summary

Merit Health River Oaks is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team by preparing equipment, maintaining devices, and assisting with procedures. Under the supervision of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, you will help ensure readiness and safety across ORs and delivery suites, contributing to efficient patient care.

Key responsibilities include maintaining sterile fields, managing supplies, and supporting ABG and ACT testing, while coordinating with the team to handle

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited anesthesia technician program or related training.
• Biology, physiology, anatomy coursework preferred.
• 0-2 years in anesthesia tech role preferred; LVN experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthetizing locations and maintain monitoring devices and equipment for procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers with aseptic techniques and airway management.
• Monitor and report vital sign changes to anesthesia teams.
• Stock anesthesia supplies and ensure readiness across ORs and labor/delivery.
• Assist with ABG, ACTs and other point‑of‑care tests as requested.
• Provide guidance to teammates and assist with patient transport and positioning.
