Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to stock anesthetic supplies, maintain equipment, and ensure availability of necessary tools for each case. The role includes set-up, testing, restocking, and assisting clinicians during procedures.

Responsibilities cover machine maintenance, inventory coordination, and collaboration with OR staff to support safe, efficient surgeries. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School education required and ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Ability to lift and move anesthesia equipment over 50 lbs.
• One year OR experience preferred or familiarity with OR drug/equipment terminology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and set up anesthesia machines and monitoring equipment.
• Inspect electrical safety and ensure clean, ready equipment for cases.
• Coordinate deliveries and restock supplies to ORs.
• Assist clinicians with equipment setup and transportation within the hospital.
• Ensure proper testing of breathing circuits and gas tanks.
