Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff. You will help prepare equipment, assist with transfers and monitoring, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

Responsibilities include organizing equipment, maintaining anesthesia carts, assisting patients, and acting quickly during emergencies while upholding infection prevention and patient privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Previous anesthesia technician or operating room setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights
