Job summary

Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA seeks an Anesthesia Technician to work with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to ensure safe, smooth procedures. You will help prepare equipment, support patient care, and create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

Responsibilities include setting up carts, organizing supplies, assisting with transfers and monitoring devices, responding to emergencies, and maintaining infection prevention and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Previous anesthesia technician or operating room setting experience is preferred.

• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use.

• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.

You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.
