Job description

We are searching for an Anesthesia Technician II. The Anesthesia Tech II has specialized experience as an Anesthesia Technician and can support anesthesia providers and other interdisciplinary team members. This role is fully competent in anesthesia across all locations, supplies, and related equipment. The Tech II works independently, demonstrating clinical skills in assisting with anesthesia procedures and troubleshooting equipment in various settings such as OR, Cath lab, OB/GYN, and CV. Additionally, this position serves as a mentor to other anesthesia technicians, assisting in training and orientation.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification by the American Heart Association
• CER-A-T from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) or an Associate's Degree from an approved anesthesia technician training program, or 5 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician in lieu of CER-A-T
• Technical Diploma from an approved anesthesia technician program
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an anesthesia technologist
• Cardiovascular experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures, including neurophysiologic monitor setup, intubation, and invasive line insertion.
• Support the anesthesiologist during cases, including outside cases, invasive monitoring, and volume infusions.
• Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment and supplies, including monitors, airway devices, IVs, and invasive lines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and monitors.
• Transport patients and assist with patient preparation and procedures.
• Restock and organize supplies and maintain inventory of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Respond to OR needs regarding supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment during procedures.
