Job summary

Veterans in Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Anesthesia Technician I - Surgery to support anesthesia services in Perioperative Services and ensure the smooth flow of surgical procedures. The role is full-time with 8-hour night shifts and union benefits.

You will clean, sterilize and maintain anesthesia equipment, prepare monitoring devices, assist with patient transport, and perform basic troubleshooting while upholding safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as an anesthesia technician in an acute care setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Preferred: ASATT-approved program graduate.
• Preferred: ASATT-certified anesthesia technician.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes, disin-fection and maintains routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Maintain anesthesia medications, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre, intra and post anesthesia.
• Troubleshoot monitors and equipment and report defects or malfunctions.
• Assist with transport of patients, laboratory specimens, and blood as necessary.
• Operate Steris machine to sterilize equipment and keep records.
• Assist with setting up invasive & non-invasive monitoring and ventilator equipment in ORs & PACU.
