Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Naperville, IL is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for evening shifts. The role supports pre-op, intra-op, and post-op procedures, with duties including setup, equipment calibration, stock management, and room turnover.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or associate degree, and any relevant anesthesia/support experience is valued. This position is full-time with on-site work and rotating on-call including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures under supervisor.
• Pre-operative and room turnover setup and equipment readiness.
• Audit, stock and maintain anesthesia supply stations; calibrate POC equipment; sterilization and documentation.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Anesthesia Tech - Anesthesia Department - Evenings

Position Highlights

• Position: Anesthesia Tech
• Location: Naperville, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours per week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm, on call required including rotating weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

What you will need

• Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate's Degree if no clinical experience.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
