Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an anesthesia technician I to assist in the anesthesia workroom and operating rooms, prepare and stock supplies, and support anesthesia providers during routine and complex cases.
You will handle airway equipment, prepare invasive monitoring lines, participate in education, and cover off-site locations as needed. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and BLS certification.
Cleans, maintains and stocks anesthesia workroom and anesthesia supplies in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations. Assists the anesthesia provider in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia. Provides specialized airway equipment when requested by anesthesia provider. Provides support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. Involved during the administration of blood and blood products and/or provides ultrasound guidance for nerve blocks.
Education: High School diploma/GED is required. Some College / Associate's Degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1-2 year experience as an anesthesia technician is required.
Licensure/ Certifications: BLS Certification is required. Must have one of the following: Cell Saver Certification, Regional Certification, Cardiac Anesthesia Competency.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
