Job summary

Endeavor Health in Illinois seeks an Anesthesia Tech to join the Anesthesia Department at our Arlington Heights location. The role is 40 hours per week with Monday–Friday, 12:00 noon–8:30 pm shifts.

This is a full-time/part-time position depending on staffing needs. Under supervision, you will assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures, set up supplies, maintain anesthesia stations, calibrate POC equipment, and perform basic equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an associate degree required.
• 1 year experience as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or EMT or an associate degree with no clinical experience.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures.
• Pre-operative supply and equipment setup and room turnover.
• Audit, stock and maintain anesthesia supply stations; calibrate POC equipment; sterilization and documentation.
• Provide basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Order supplies via Lawson Material Management System.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What You Will Do

• Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

What You Will Need

• Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
