Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX, seeks an Anesthesia Technician in the Anesthesiology department. This on-site role coordinates equipment and supplies and supports integration of surgical and anesthesia gear to ensure smooth operations.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 10-hour days from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a rotating day off. You will verify equipment functionality, arrange disposables, assist with anesthesia readiness for general or regional cases, and help with catheter monitoring tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year vocational or technical school or equivalent related to anesthesia preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) 180 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify equipment is functioning; ensure efficient arrangement of equipment and disposable products to enhance work efficiency of licensed personnel.
• Coordinate the needs of anesthesia; assist with technical aspects of getting patients ready for general or regional anesthesia; assist with intravenous, intra-arterial and other monitoring catheters.
• Utilize established safety protocols, transports and delivers approved medications from the pharmacy or Omnicell to the operating room as directed by the anesthesia provider.
• Participate in rotation of coordinating personnel, relays incoming assignments to available Anesthesia Tech.
• Participate in new product evaluation at the direction of a team leader/manager.
• Assist with orienting new anesthesia technicians.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education
