Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the Surgical Services Department. The role involves maintaining anesthesia equipment, assisting the anesthesia team, and ensuring supplies are ready for procedures across operating rooms.

Collaboration with anesthesia, nursing staff, and off-site resources is essential. The position is part-time (20 hours/week), with training initially Mon-Fri 5:45am–2:15pm, and benefits eligibility from day one,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS/HCP certification required.
• Prior experience in a Hospital Anesthesia Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge of anesthesia equipment (machines, monitors, diagnostic devices).
• Cleans and checks instruments and equipment; removes broken items and places work orders as needed.
• Provides direct service to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and anesthetists; responds to directions promptly.
• Works with the surgery team to deliver high-quality customer service.
• Prepares anesthesia supplies and participates as primary assistant to Anesthesia for procedures in the OR.
• Restocks supplies and disinfects equipment; handles medications under supervision.
• Ensures anesthesia carts and machines are ready in all rooms before and between surgeries.
• Inventories and orders anesthesia supplies; runs errands as requested by team members.
