Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the Surgical Services Department. The technician provides anesthesia support under supervision of the anesthesiologist and manager, maintaining and supplying equipment and assisting before, during, and after procedures in Operating Rooms.

This role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and prior hospital anesthesia department experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS/HCP certification required.
• Experience in a hospital anesthesia department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock anesthesia carts and machines.
• Prepare anesthesia supplies and assist during procedures.
• Support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and anesthesia staff before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure equipment readiness and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with patient transport and positioning as needed.
• Restock supplies and dispose of biohazardous waste per policy.
