Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, FL is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team. Responsibilities include maintaining and preparing anesthesia equipment, stocking carts, and assisting with procedures. A CPR certification is required, and a minimum of 1 year anesthesia tech experience is expected.

An ASATT accredited program is preferred. The role offers benefits and opportunities within a large hospital system.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year anesthesia tech experience required.
• Completion of an ASATT approved accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks, maintains, and prepares all related anesthesia equipment including machines, EKG monitors, defibrillators, etc.
• Cleans, checks and stocks all anesthesia carts daily.
• Reports any deficiency or fault in operation immediately to Supervisor/Anesthesiologist.
• Maintains a clean and orderly anesthesia supply room at all times.
• Assists anesthesia personnel as delegated including blocks, central lines, etc.
• Functions as a preceptor to new employees.
• Inspects all equipment and reports any deficiency to supervisor and Biomed.
• Orders and maintains appropriate supply inventory.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines when necessary.
