Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers during operative procedures. You will prepare equipment, assist with general, monitored, or regional anesthesia, and help ensure patient safety through careful supply management.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of direct patient care in a hospital, and BLS certification; OR experience is preferred, Cer.A.T. is a plus, and a strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year direct patient care in a hospital setting preferred.
• 2 years operating room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Cer.A.T. – Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists anesthesia providers and other health care members in providing care to the patient undergoing an operative invasive procedure. Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Job responsibilities include specific anesthesia and equipment related comprehensive care to the child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive procedures.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year experience with direct patient care experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• 2 years Previous experience in an operating room Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Cer.A.T. - Certified Anesthesia Technician Preferred
