Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers during operative procedures in the Or. The role requires preparing equipment for general, monitored and regional anesthesia and ensuring supplies are stocked for patient care across age groups.

The ideal candidate will have a GED, 1 year of direct patient care in a hospital setting, and BLS certification; OB/OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Work Experience: 1 year direct patient care in a hospital setting required; 2 years in an operating room preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS required; Cer.A.T. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia providers and other health care members during operative procedures.
• Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies for general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia.
• Maintains inventory of anesthesia equipment and supplies and supports anesthesia services.

Responsibilities

Assists anesthesia providers and other health care members in providing care to the patient undergoing an operative invasive procedure. Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Job responsibilities include specific anesthesia and equipment related comprehensive care to the child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive procedures.

• 1 year experience with direct patient care experience in a hospital setting Required
