Job summary

The Anesthesia Technician role supports the anesthesia team in delivering safe patient care by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining supplies. Works under supervision of anesthesiologists/CRNAs to ensure readiness across all procedures and populations.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, assisting with sterile techniques, reporting vital sign changes, stocking supplies, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• Accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
• Biology/Physiology/Anatomy coursework preferred.
• 0-2 years of anesthesia tech experience preferred in hospital or surgical setting.
• 1-2 years of LVN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and maintain anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices.
• Assist with aseptic/sterile techniques during procedures, including airway management.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to anesthesia providers.
• Stock anesthesia supplies and ensure readiness across ORs and procedural areas.
• Assist with ABGs, ACTs, and other point-of-care tests.
• Prepare and deliver blood products and pharmaceuticals as requested.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and team members as needed.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and monitors under supervision.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain readiness for routine and emergency procedures and comply with policies.
