Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia care team. You will help acquire, prepare, and use equipment and supplies during anesthesia administration, and maintain anesthesia equipment across the system.

You will assist with patient transport, contribute to OR turnover, and manage inventory for anesthesia carts, while adhering to MH System policies and service standards. Experience with sterile technique and medical terminology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in perioperative protocols or clinical sanitation.
• Good written and verbal communication; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and use of equipment and supplies during anesthesia.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment: setup, calibration, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Participate in OR cleanup and setup to facilitate turnover between surgical cases.
• Take inventory and maintain anesthesia cart supplies across anesthesia locations.
• Assist with patient transport and equipment return to storage after procedures.
