Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team in a busy hospital setting. You will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, restock carts and rooms, and assist with patient positioning during procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred Anesthesia Department or Nursing Assistant experience and BLS certification. You will work in a fast-paced environment with routine exposure to clinical areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Anesthesia Department or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in arranging appropriate care for surgical patients of various ages.
• Checks and restocks anesthesia carts and rooms to maintain par levels.
• Performs anesthesia machine checks.
• Assembles IV fluid sets and transducer sets for anesthesia use.
• Cleans all anesthesia equipment after use per protocol.
• Maintains inventory and assists with stocking equipment throughout the shift.
• Positions patients for anesthetic procedures and assists during critical times.
• Moves anesthesia equipment between ORs and other locations as needed.
• Follows setup guidelines for all cases/cores assigned.
