Job summary

Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a full-time anesthesia support technician to coordinate and provide essential support functions for anesthesiologists throughout the hospital.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of related experience (1 year in Surgical Service preferred), and strong communication and confidentiality skills to assist the surgical team and patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience; 1 year in Surgical Service preferred.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains anesthesia machines and equipment in the Operating Room.
• Assembles transducer lines and equipment for invasive pressure monitoring as needed.
• Cleans and decontaminates anesthesia machines and supplies after procedures.
• Gathers supplies for IV solutions, tubing setup and IV warming devices.
• Stocks machines, drugs, trays, materials, supplies, and gases for daily use.
• Completes continuous rounds to assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff.
• Communicates information to supervisor, physicians and health care team.
• Ensures supplies are available and reusable items are processed by inventory.
• Notifies ordering needs per department standards.
• Serves as a preceptor and assists in orientation for new personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned and assists the RN under supervision.
