Carle Health is seeking an Anesthesia Support Technician to assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs with daily tasks, equipment setup, and supply management across the Main OR, OB, and related areas. You will contribute to efficient procedures and patient safety by preparing equipment and stocking essential supplies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, prompt communication, and adherence to established procedures for equipment maintenance and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Turns over anesthesia machines and prepares them for next use.
• Cleans anesthesia machines and maintains equipment to standards.
• Prepares anesthesia supplies for procedures.
• Stocks and maintains anesthesia supplies in OR and remote areas.
• Assists with equipment repair coordination with vendors/biomed.
• Transports machines between suites and to remote areas.
• Assists clinicians during procedures and retrieves supplies as needed.
• Monitors sodalime and gas tanks, replaces as required.
• Sets up invasive lines and IVs; brings equipment to OR.
• Assists with patient positioning and room turnover.
• Maintains organized inventory of anesthesia supplies.
• Supports material resources in ordering and revenue capture.
• Exhibits good judgement, teamwork and strong communication.
