Job summary

The St. Charles Health System is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support licensed anesthesia providers in equipment prep, maintenance and case readiness.

You will help ensure safe, efficient anesthesia care for routine and complex surgeries, preparing monitoring devices and delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia in collaboration with the anesthesia team. You will work under supervision, assist in trauma and OR workflow, stock and organize equipment, and participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• One year of operating room experience, EMT experience, or medical assistant in a procedural area.
• ASATT program completion or associate degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine anesthesia machine checks.
• Prepare anesthesia equipment for general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional cases.
• Consult OR schedule to determine equipment needs and timing.
• Assist anesthesia providers in clinical settings outside the OR as needed.
• Maintain inventory of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Document equipment maintenance per hospital policies.
