Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for the Main Operating Room in Arlington Heights, IL. This midshift role supports pre-, intra-, and post-operative care and ensures efficient room turnover.

The position requires a high school diploma or associate’s degree, with about one year of related experience. You will handle equipment setup, sterilization, and basic troubleshooting under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or associates degree.
• 1 year of experience as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or EMT, or a related Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move heavy objects and assist with equipment setup.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures under supervision.
• Prepare pre-operative supplies and equipment, set up rooms and ensure turnover.
• Audit, stock and maintain anesthesia supply stations; calibrate point-of-care equipment; ensure high-level sterilization and documentation.
