Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for evening coverage to support the Anesthesia Department. The position requires assisting during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, stocking supplies, and basic equipment troubleshooting.

Hours are 1:00pm–9:30pm, with on-call duties and rotating weekends and holidays. Education: high school diploma or associate degree; experience: 1 year as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care

Qualifications

• High school graduate or associate degree required.
• 1 year of experience as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or EMT, or an associate degree if no clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures.
• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation.
• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting.
• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System.
