Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II, Per Diem to support complex surgeries including cardiac, liver transplant, and vascular procedures. This on-site, part-time role involves assisting with monitors, IV setup, airway management, and patient transport.

Candidates should have at least one year in an academic hospital, knowledge of anesthesia procedures, and willingness to participate in rotating on-call and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school plus additional specialized training.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an academic/teaching hospital.
• Knowledge of anesthesia procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in complex surgeries (cardiac, transplant, vascular, trauma).
• Sets up and manages monitors and airway support as directed.
• Places IV solutions and maintains invasive monitoring as needed.
• Performs quality checks on anesthesia equipment and assists in patient transport.
