Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, divide, and multiply
• Knowledge of medical/surgical and anesthetic terminology
• Ability to work independently with good organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Color vision; read in dim light; distinguish colors on monitors
• Manual dexterity to manipulate small equipment
• Ability to move in confined spaces; lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum one year relevant work experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Flexible to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
• Preferred: Certification as an Anesthesia Technician
• Some college with life sciences background
