Job summary

UC Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician Assistant to support licensed providers in the OR, OB, imaging suites, PACU, ICU and other areas requiring anesthesia setup. You will help set up and troubleshoot anesthesia delivery systems and maintain equipment and supplies. Training in basic anesthesia gas knowledge is required.

You will work under supervision, assist in invasive monitoring, participate in rapid responses, and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months health care experience required. Basic knowledge of anesthesia gas machine.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in clinical settings such as OR, OB, imaging suites, PACU, ICU, ER, endoscopy, and labs.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot anesthesia delivery systems and related devices.
• Maintain inventory of anesthesia equipment and supplies; organize carts and workrooms.
• Provide support for invasive monitoring, patient preparation and aseptic technique as directed.
• Assist during emergencies and traumas; participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Support anesthesia staff in planning and draping for invasive procedures; handle routine cleaning and sterilization.
