Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an Anesthesia Tech II for the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery in Plano, TX. The role supports anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases, assists with room prep and equipment, and helps ensure patient safety.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience, and certifications CAT and BCLS. Work hours are 40 per week, 10:30am to 7:00pm, at a busy facility with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred.
• CAT – Certified Anesthesia Tech must be obtained upon hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases.
• Assists with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.
• Maintains patient safety by following department processes and keeping a sterile environment.
• Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services.
• Keeps anesthesia equipment and workroom clean and functional.
• Supports Anesthesiologist in Optime and contributes to KPIs related to patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Work hours:

Full-Time (40 hours/week) – 10:30am-7:00pm

Surgery Department Highlights

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 1 Year experience (Strongly Preferred)
• CAT – Certified Anesthesia Tech (Upon Hire Required) And
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)

What You Will Do

• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides support to anesthesia staff with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.
• Protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment and understanding equipment function.
• Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and workroom.
• Able to support Anesthesiologist in Optime.
• Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performances, organizational effectiveness and community health care (Reach Out Programs)
