Job summary

Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital in Boston is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support perioperative care with the anesthesia team, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow during the 11:00am–9:30pm schedule.

You will assist with equipment, patient transfers, monitoring devices, and sterile processing, maintaining infection control and coordinating with the Nurse Manager and Anesthesia staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 6 months hospital experience required; anesthesia tech experience preferred.
• No substitution of experience for education.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in perioperative anesthesia care and reports to Nurse Manager and Chief of Anesthesia.
• Transfers patients from stretcher/bed.
• Attaches vital signs and monitoring devices to patients.
• Assists in patient positioning for procedures.
• Assists in intubation under supervision of anesthesia staff.
• Supports safe transfer to PACU with oxygen and ambu bag ready.
• Maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies; coordinates needs.
• Maintains gas tanks and equipment upkeep.
• Performs equipment repairs within 24 hours.
• Maintains infection control and clean anesthesia carts.
