Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an anesthesia technician to coordinate supplies, medications and equipment before and during procedures in a fast-paced OR setting.

You will support CRNAs, anesthesiologists and OR staff with a focus on safety, infection control and timely room turnaround while expanding knowledge of anesthesia workflows and equipment management.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with rotating shifts, and opportunities to grow within Sanford Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills helpful.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides anesthesia supplies, medications and equipment effectively, before and during medical procedures.
• Maintains a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient.
• Assists with preparation of equipment and may assist with medications when applicable.
• Assists with orders, stocking inventory, tests and maintaining anesthesia equipment.
• Cleans and disinfects reusable equipment and reports malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Supports room turnaround in accordance with infection control policies.
