Qualifications

• Preferred: actively licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician (Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine) with five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and teach anesthetic induction, monitoring, recovery, airway management, catheter placement, regional anesthesia, and related procedures.
• Support faculty, house officers, and students in providing safe anesthesia and patient care.
• Assist with emergency patient assessment, stabilization, and anesthetic management.
• Provide leadership and operational support to the anesthesia team; manage equipment, supplies, and on-call coordination.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Veterinary field

Associate degree in veterinary technology

Vet tech credentials or equivalent
