Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist providers with equipment, medications, and supplies for safe anesthesia care across surgical and non-surgical cases. The role includes preparing and maintaining monitoring devices, delivery systems, and ensuring sterile technique throughout patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with IVs, A-lines, central lines, and patient positioning, while supporting transportation to recovery and ensuring rooms are stocked and compliant with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• College coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology (preferred).
• Prior anesthesia technician or patient-care experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmacology (preferred).
• BLS certification by AHA (required).
• ASAT certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Directs preparation and setup of anesthesia equipment and supplies for operating rooms.
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning anesthesia equipment and stocking rooms.
• Support anesthesia providers during turnover between cases and during procedures.
• Assist with placement of IVs, A-lines, central lines and related invasive lines.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal policies; maintain organized work areas.
