Job summary

Tenet Healthcare seeks a Revenue Integrity Specialist to ensure accurate anesthesia billing across hospital-based groups. You will identify missed charges, documentation gaps, coding discrepancies, and denial trends, coordinating with anesthesia providers, coders, and billing partners to strengthen revenue capture while maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities include reconciling schedules, validating charges and modifiers, and addressing documentation gaps within established timelines.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with billing/health info training.
• Minimum 3 years revenue cycle experience including anesthesia claims.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and anesthesia time reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel for reconciliations, trend analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile operating room, labor and delivery, endoscopy, and other schedules with anesthesia records and posted charges.
• Review anesthesia records for start/stop times, provider handoffs, overlapping services, and billable time.
• Validate coding, base and time units, provider attribution, and modifiers with payer-specific rules.
• Review documentation supporting medical direction, concurrency, and qualifying circumstances; escalate discrepancies.
• Audit documentation for post-anesthesia services, bundling edits, and payer-specific payment requirements.
• Manage charge holds and documentation exception queues; follow up with clinicians to resolve incomplete records.
