Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Instrument/Support Technician for the Anesthesiology department at Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee. You will clean and prepare instruments and anesthesia equipment, and assist with preoperative setup to ensure smooth patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, post-procedure cleanup, and minor equipment troubleshooting. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year of patient care, BLS within 6 months, strong customer service, and basic computer

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience or healthcare setting experience.
• BLS certification due within 6 months unless exempt by department leader.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Clean instruments and equipment used in anesthesia to ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
• Assist with preoperative preparation and set up anesthesia equipment/cart.
• Assist during difficult intubations or patient crises as equipment facilitator.
• Assist with post-procedure cleanup and prep for next case.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care as per department policies.
