Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an anesthesia support team member to help clean instruments and prep equipment for anesthesia procedures. You will stock supplies, assist during cases, and support the anesthesia team to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1 year of patient care experience or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt by department lead.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare instruments and equipment used in anesthesia.
• Prepare machines and equipment for anesthesia delivery, and stock anesthesia cart.
• Assist during difficult intubations or patient crises as needed by anesthesia provider.
• Assist with post-procedure cleanup and prep for next case.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and refer major problems to supervisor.
• Provide age-appropriate care knowledge and assist in line with department policies.
