Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Anesthesia Instrument Technician in Oklahoma City. You will clean and prepare instruments and equipment for anesthesia delivery, ensuring supplies are ready for procedures.

You may assist during challenging intubations and patient crises as needed by the anesthesia team. Responsibilities include prepping machines, stocking the anesthesia cart, and aiding in post-procedure cleanup.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• At least 1 year of patient care experience in healthcare
• BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months unless not required by department
• Ability to operate in fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize instruments and equipment used in anesthesia to ensure availability
• Prepare machines and equipment for anesthesia delivery and stock the anesthesia cart
• Assist during difficult intubations or patient crises as equipment facilitator
• Assist with cleanup and prepare for next procedure
• Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and refer major problems to Anesthesia supervisor
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and documentation as per department policies
